DAY 1 
ULAN-BATOR

 

Arrival to Ulaanbaatar.Our friendly and courteous driver will be there to meet you upon your arrival at the airport. While the transfer to your accommodation you will take a first view of the Capital of Mongolia.

You will have some time to check-in at the hotel, refresh yourself and take some rest before getting on the tour!

 

GUIDED CITY TOUR with visit to GANDAN MONASTERY



During this city tour the guide will show you around the city of Ulan-Bator and visit the most popular sightseeing spots: 
Gandan Monastery  ("Great Place of Complete Joy") - a Tibetan-style monastery in the Mongolian capital of Ulan-Bator that has been restored and revitalized since 1990. It currently has over 150 monks in residence. It features a 26.5-meter-high statue of Migjid Janraisig, a Buddhist bodhisattva also known as Avalokitesvara.  Winter Palace - that is a museum now, - is the only one palace left from originally 4 residences of the eighth Jebtsundamba Khutughtu, who was later proclaimed Bogd Khan, or emperor of Mongolia. The complex includes six temples. On display are many of the Bogd Khan's possessions, such as his throne and bed, his collection of art and stuffed animals, his ornate ceremonial ger, and a pair of ceremonial boots given to the Khan by Russian Tsar Nicholas.  

 

Your next stop will be Zaisan Memorial located south of Ulan-Batar that honors Soviet soldiers killed in World War II. Located on a hill, the memorial features a circular memorial painting that depicts scenes of friendship between the peoples of the USSR and Mongolia. After driving to the uppermost parking lot on the hill, visitors must make a climb of three hundred steps before reaching the monument and mural. Those who make the climb are rewarded with a panoramic view of the entire city of Ulan- Bator in the valley below, as well as the Tuul River flowing past the city.   

 

And at last, you will visit the famous Sukhbaatar square that was named after and features an equestrian statue of Damdin Sükhbaatar, one of the leaders of Mongolia's 1921 revolution. The statue is located directly in front of the Saaral Ordon (Government Palace).  

 

At the end of the tour, the guide and driver will take you back to the hotel.

 

DAY 2

TRIP TO TERELJ NATIONAL PARK



Gorkhi-Terelj National Park is one of the national parks of Mongolia.The Terelj tourist zone has a number of "tourist camps". The Terelj settlement is located in the valley of the Terelj River, approximately 66 km from the Ulan-Bator city center. A small southern portion of the park is developed for tourists, with restaurants, souvenir shops, horses and camels for rent, and tourist ger camps. However, most of the park is undeveloped and difficult to access. Attractions include Khagiin Khar Lake, a 20m deep glacial lake 80 km upstream from the tourist camps, and Yestii Hot Water Springs, natural hot springs 18 km further upstream. The park also has a Buddhist monastery that is open to visitors. Park wildlife includes brown bears and over 250 species of birds. The Tuul River flows through the park. The park has many rock formations for rock climbers, and includes two famous formations named for things they resemble. The guide will take you to one of them – the famous Turtle Rock. You will see the 100 Monks Cave - where buddhist monks hid from oppression, some say that about 100 monks hid here, - and Terelj Monastery. 

You will have a Mongolian BBQ in the evening. You can arrange a horse ride for extra pay. Overnight stays in ger camp.


DAY 3  

Transfer back to Ulan-Bator in the morning.  On the way back to the city you will visit the great Chinggis Khaan Statue complex that  is located around 60 km from Ulaanbaatar. The STATUE is currently the biggest equestrian statue in the world. The complex includes a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupying the base of the structure. From here, you could use an elevator or walk to the head of the horse through chest and back of the horse neck where you will have a fantastic panorama view over the nearby area.You will some time for lunch in the city before your transfer to the train station. 

TRAIN TO IRKUTSK.

DAY 4 

IRKUTSK - LISTVYANKA

 

Upon your arrival to Irkutsk you will be met by our guide and driver. While the transfer to your accommodation in Listvyanka you will have a first glimpse on the Capital of the Pribalkalye, East Siberia.


TRIP TO THE MUSEUM "TALTSI"

 

Tour to the museum of wooden architecture "Taltsi" located on the way from Irkutsk to Listvyanka, where you can see a collection of expositions showing the ancient life of a Russian village. 78 wooden buildings are presented and give a very nice overview about lifestyle and architecture of the ethnical groups living in acient Siberia.

 

At the end of the tour, the guide and driver will take you to the hotel in Lystvyanka for check-in.  Overnight in the hotel.

 

DAY 5  

LISTVYANKA

 

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the day! Our guide and driver will meet you at the reception of the hotel with the sign with your name on it. 

WALKING TOUR at LAKE BAIKAL



During this tour in Listvyanka village the guide will show you around, you will get acquainted with the nature of this region of Russia and will see the fascinating panorama of Baikal lake from the panoramic area. The legendary Lake Baikal with it's fascinating nature and unique fauna is the oldest, deepest (1721 m) and cleanest lake in the world. You will be taken up to the observation point Cherskogo rock by cable way, where a panoramic area will let you enjoy an amazing view of lake Baikal and all the nature that surrounds it.

 

 

At the end of the tour, the guide will walk you back to the hotel.

 



DAY 6  

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today is a free day. Spend your time exploring the village at your own pace.



DAY 7  

IRKUTSK

DAY 8  

ON TRAIN

Departure for Novosibirsk. On train. It takes about 29 hours from Irkutsk to get to Novosibirsk. Novosibirsk lies along the Ob River in the West Siberian Plain. It is the 4th largest city of Russia.

 

DAY 9

NOVOSIBIRSK

 

Upon arrival you will be met by our driver. While transfer to your accommodation you will have a first glimpse of the city.You will have some time to check-in at the hotel, refresh yourself and take some rest before getting on the tour!

 

GUIDED CITY TOUR

 

During this city tour you will see the historical part of Novosibirsk and its main landmarks. There will be a stop made on the Lenin Square near the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, one of the most beautiful and famous buildings of the city. Then you will have a possibility to visit one of the Novosibirsk’s museums of your choice (Museum of Siberian Beresta, Local Lore and History museum or Novosibirsk Art Gallery).At the end of the tour, the guide will walk you back to the hotel.

 

 

DAY 10

LARGE TOUR TO AKADEMGORODOK

 

This tour gives a possibility to visit Akademgorodok, a town of academicians near Novosibirsk, where more than 15 universities and 43 institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences are housed. Surrounded by the pine trees, the town has an excellent ecology. You will visit the Geological museum in which the largest Siberian mineralogical collection is exhibited. In the museum you will learn about the wealth of Russian mineral resources, see magnificent stones of Siberia: lapis lazuli, allanite, jasper, agate and rare charoite that can be found only in Siberia. On the way to Akademgorodok, you will visit the open-air museum of the railway engineering. There are more than 60 models of steam locomotives, diesel locomotives, snow ploughs—the technique that was in use from the foundation of the West Siberian Railway to present day.

DAY 11

ON TRAIN

 

On train. it takes almost 36 hours to get from Novosibirsk to KAZAN!

 

KAZAN - capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, which is located in central Russia. The city is extremely picturesque and offers many well-preserved historical buildings, minarets, and churches. Because of its historical and religious influences Kazan represents a unique cultural treasury.



DAY 12  

 

KAZAN

 

Early in the morning you will arrive to KAZAN.

 

Upon arrival you will be met by our driver and transferred to your hotel.  The official check-in time is 12 at noon. However if your room will be available earlier to that, it might be allocated to you on arrival. (If your room is not available you will be able to leave your luggage with the hotel reception).

 

You will have a chance to have breakfast before setting off on the tour!  

 

GUIDED TOUR TO SVIYAZHSK ISLAND-CITY

 

Sviyazhsk is located at the confluence of the Volga and Sviyaga Rivers. The distance from Kazan is just over 30 km up to the Volga. Sviyazhsk was founded in 1551 as a fortress which was built within 4 weeks. It became a military base of ther Russian army during the siege of Kazan in 1552. Now it’s historical and cultural gem of the Republic of Tatartan. The complex of city buildings includes the works of Ivan Shiryaj and Postnik Yakovlev, who is well known as one of the builders of Saint Basil's Cathedral on Red Square in Moscow. Picturesque nature, surrounding shallow, waters of bays attracted people since the ancient times. Somebody said that Sviyazhsk became a prototype of the mysterious Buyan island-city mentioned in the Tale of Tsar Saltan, of His Son the Renowned and Mighty Bogatyr Prince Gvidon Saltanovich, and of the Beautiful Princess-Swan written by Alexander Pushkin.

 

At the end of the tour, the guide and driver will take you back to the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

GUIDED WALKING CITY TOUR WITH VISIT TO THE KREMLIN


Your tour begins when our guide escorts you from your hotel to the historical centre of the city. As you make your journey through Kazan's millennial past, along the historical streets of Kazan, where the «east meets west», you can discover some of the city’s incredible historic monuments, and experience Kazan as the city where ‘All Worlds Come Together’. Your guide will lead you to one of the first universities in Russia, Kazan State University, then you will continue to the old Tatar Settlement to explore its many cathedrals and mosques, including the first Mosque of Mardjany. Your excursion would not be complete without a tour of the Kazan Kremlin, the heart of the city. Before your tour concludes, you will walk along the embankment of the Kazanka River and Kaban Lake, and admire the awe-inspiring views surrounding Kazan. At the end of the tour, you will have some free time for lunch and then the driver will transfer you to the train station.

MOSCOW

 

It takes 12 hours to get from Kazan to Moscow.Our friendly and courteous driver will be there to meet you upon your arrival to Moscow.While the transfer to your accommodation you will have a first glimpse on the Gold-Domed Capital of Russia. You will have some time to check-in at the hotel, refresh yourself and take some rest before getting on the tour!

 

GUIDED CITY TOUR + VISIT TO THE KREMLIN  AND ARMORY CHAMBER

 

This walking guided city tour shows you around the city center of Moscow. During this excursion you’ll get a good account of the history, architecture and main landmarks of the city.

 

The tour starts at Tverskaya Street—one of the main and most exciting of all streets in Moscow. It leads to the heart of the city—the Kremlin and Red Square. You will see the Red Square with the History Museum, the Trading Arcades of GUM, Lenin’s Mausoleum and, of course, the symbol of Moscow — St. Basil’s cathedral. Enjoying the best panoramic views of the Kremlin, you will cross the river and come to the lovely park in the Bolotnaya (Swamp) Square (although it bears no resemblance to a swamp anymore).Then you will take a stroll to the symbol of the Stalin's rule—"The House on the Embankment", a grey monster with ill fame. It was the residence of the Soviet “aristocracy”. From the Bolshoy Kamenny (Big Stone) Bridge, you will have a splendid view of Christ the Savior Cathedral, which has an extremely colorful history. Here, you will be able to take panoramic pictures of the Kremlin’s Cathedrals and the Grand Kremlin Palace. Then you will have the opportunity to relax in the Alexander Garden and watch the change of guards at the Tomb of Unknown Soldier.

 

Kremlin nowadays is the official residence of the President of Russian Federation. You will stroll along the Kremlin walls and see the Cathedral Square and other landmarks. On the territory of the Kremlin you will also see the Assumption Cathedral and the Armory Chamber.The Assumption cathedral is famous for its magnificent ensemble of monumental paintings and one of the largest Russian collections of icons.

 

As for the Armory Chamber – it is a world-famous treasure-house that occupies a part of the Grand Kremlin Palace’s complex. The museum houses precious items that have been preserved for centuries in the tsars’ treasury and the Patriarch’s vestry. Some of the exhibits were made in the Kremlin’s workshops, others were accepted as ambassadorial gifts. The State Armory also presents more than four thousands items of applied art of Russia, European and Eastern countries of the 4th -early 20th centuries.

 

At the end of the tour, the guide will take you back to the hotel.

GUIDED METRO TOUR, VISIT TO THE STATE TRETYAKOV GALLERY & MARFO-MARIINSKY CONVENT

 

You will visit of the first line of the Moscow metro. It was opened in 1935 and connected 13 stations. Nowadays, Moscow metro has about 150 stations and it is considered to be one of the most beautiful undergrounds in the world. You will be stopping and getting off at its most beautiful stations.

 

During this guided tour you will also visit the State Tretyakov Gallery - one of the greatest art-galleries in the world. The Gallery’s collection comprises a vast range of Russian art - from the 12th century icons to avangard items of the beginning of the 20th century.

 

The Gallery’s collection was started by Pavel Tretyakov, the owner of a successful textile company. After Tretyakov’s death the gallery’s collection grew rapidly, especially after the October Revolution when museum collections were supplemented by grabbed private collections, objects taken from cathedrals and monasteries, etc.

 

The Marfo-Mariinsky Convent - is a monastery for females. It is one of the most visited in Moscow. People come here to pray, but also in search of help, as the sisters here are very much involved in charity and social work. Their aim is to carry on the good work of Holy Martyr Elizabeth Feodorova, the founder of the convent. Located in the heart of the tourist quarter of Moscow, Zamoskvorechye, this breathtakingly beautiful convent has a unique look, being an incredibly unique example of Art Modern church architecture.

 

At the end of the tour, the driver will take you back to the hotel.

DAY TRIP: GUIDED TOUR TO TRINITY MONASTERY IN SERGIEV POSAD & VISIT TO IZMAILOVO SOUVENIR MARKET

 

During this tour you will be taken 70 km away from Moscow to visit Trinity Sergius Monastery (Lavra) located in Sergiev Posad a small town included in so-called “Golden Ring”. You will have a guided tour throughout the territory of the monastery with visiting some of its temples, the sacristy and, of course, its main church - the Trinity Sergius Lavra. 

 

On the way back you will also visit Izmaylovo Market in Moscow, which is a great place to purchase Russian nesting dolls, lacquer boxes, wooden toys, winter hats, folk crafts, and more souvenirs.

 

At the end of the tour, the driver will take you back to the hotel.  

 

DAY 17  

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
